Avincis is celebrating a decade of delivering vital offshore helicopter services in Mozambique, marking the milestone of its long-term partnership with Eni. Since launching operations in June 2015 with a single Leonardo AW139 based at Pemba International Airport, the company has expanded into a trusted aviation partner for the region’s energy sector.
Today, Avincis operates three AW139 helicopters— all registered in Mozambique— providing fast, reliable, and safe transport to offshore installations, including the Coral South FLNG project in Area 4. The fleet is backed by a dedicated team of 31 professionals, including 14 pilots and 12 technicians, with two Mozambican apprentice technicians gaining hands-on experience alongside local support staff in Maputo.
Operational performance has been strong. In 2024 alone, Avincis flew more than 1,033 hours. By mid-2025, the company had already surpassed 570 hours, underscoring its crucial role in sustaining offshore logistics and ensuring the safety and continuity of one of Africa’s most strategic energy developments.

Milestones Over the Decade
- 2015: Launch of operations in Pemba with one Leonardo AW139.
- 2019: Fleet expanded to three helicopters, all Mozambique-registered.
- 2022: Renewal of five-year contract with Eni, extending operations through 2027, with options until 2030.
