Kenya Establishes New State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development

Kenya has established a new state department for aviation and aerospace development to help streamline aviation industry in the country.

The creation of the new State Department for Aviation and Aerospace Development under the Ministry of Roads and Transport is aimed at strengthening Kenya’s aviation and aerospace sector.

The newly established department will be led by Principal Secretary Teresia Mbaika, whom President William Ruto nominated.

This development shows Kenya’s commitment to enhancing the aviation industry, fostering innovation in aerospace technologies, and positioning the country as a key player in the region’s air transport sector.

The new department is expected to streamline policies, improve infrastructure, and support the growth of air transport and emerging aerospace initiatives.
